A Glenpool man is charged with sexually assaulting a victim he knew, starting when the victim was 16.
The affidavit for Thomas Reed says DHS contacted Glenpool police after learning of the sexual relationship between Reed and the victim.
It says there was an audio recording of another adult confronting Reed, where he admitted to it.
It says Reed told police there was not a sexual relationship, but, he was only trying to help the victim’s vulnerable mental state and their relationship was helping save the victim’s life.
It says Reed explained text messages between him and the victim were his effort to make the victim feel attractive, by pretending they were a couple.
It says Reed explained the 400 nude photos of the victim, by saying the victim took those with Reed’s phone, then saved them onto an SD card, which police also recovered.
It says Reed created a scene at the police department when investigators were trying to interview the victim and Reed didn’t want the victim speaking to the officers.
It says officers did talk to the victim, who told police the sexual relationship had been going on for a few years.
Reed is charged with child sexual abuse.
It’s a charge, not a conviction.
