Fox4 – Jada was shot in the chest while signing autographs after she performed in front of crowd of Dallas fans. A 26 yr old woman named Micah Williams was arrested. Authorities aren’t sure of a motive for the shooting yet. Jada is still recovering
Officers found 26-year-old Jada Arnell Thomas had been shot in the chest. Thomas was transported to a Baylor hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw a woman pointing a gun at Thomas before running away from the scene with other people in the theater.
Witnesses also said the suspected shooter was “really robotic and off,” according to an affidavit.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Micah Williams, was arrested a few streets away in a hotel lobby at the 200 block of Akard St. Williams faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Dallas County Jail.
A handgun was recovered from her purse during her arrest, police said. Williams admitted shooting Thomas in an interview with police after the arrest, according to the affidavit.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
