New York – Cops are hunting for the duo in a pair of incidents earlier this month — the first on Aug. 14, when two men were robbed after they left TAO Downtown around 4:20 a.m. and walked to West 30th Street and Broadway.
A pair of thieves in a Mercedes-Benz swiped a Richard Mille watch and other pricey jewelry worth more than $4 million in total from people who had just left Manhattan hotspots, cops said Thursday.
From the older victim they stole a Richard Mille watch, multiple chains, necklaces and rings worth about $4 million in total, police said.
One of the alleged robbers displayed a black handgun as the suspects swiped multiple pieces of jewelry from the men, ages 47 and 27, cops said.
They also allegedly grabbed a medallion necklace worth about $10,000 from the younger man.
The thieves then got back in the Mercedes, taking off on Broadway toward West 28th Street and turning left toward Fifth Avenue.
A week later, a 34-year-old man had just left Pergola restaurant on West 28th Street near Sixth Avenue in Chelsea around 1:10 a.m. Aug. 19 and was heading toward Broadway when a black Mercedes approached and parked at the corner, cops said.
Two men got out, approached the victim and pulled a gun on him, police said.
After the robbery, the suspects returned to the Mercedes, fleeing south on Broadway and turning right onto West 27th Street, heading toward Sixth Avenue, cops said.
Cops are still looking for both suspects.
One is described as a man with a dark complexion, about 5 feet tall and 140 pounds.
They swiped a Cuban necklace, a tennis bracelet and an Audemar watch from the victim — worth about $100,000 in total, authorities said.
