A woman on a deferred sentence for being intoxicated when she hit and killed a pedestrian, gets arrested again.
The affidavit says back in August, Clydia Nelson pleaded no contest to misdemeanor negligent, DUI, no driver’s license and no insurance when she hit and killed Adam Harcrow, who was crossing the street.
That crash happened in October of 2022.
Police say at the time, Nelson admitted to having 4 shots of Crown about an hour before the crash and her blood alcohol content was .09
The judge gave Nelson 2 years probation and that sentence also covered an earlier case of reckless firing of a handgun.
The District Attorney’s office wants the deferred sentence revoked, saying Nelson has broken the rules.
The DA’s office says:
January 10, Nelson got arrested for punching and putting her mother into a chokehold and was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
January 18, DHS removed Nelson’s children and saw a bunch of liquor bottles and says Nelson admitted she’d been drinking, which is not allowed.
January 23: Nelson tested positive for THC.
Did not complete her court ordered alcohol assessment.
Nelson denies breaking the rules.
I’ll let you know if the judge revokes the sentence.
