RawNews1st – A Rogers County man who shot an innocent person on a motorcycle, pleads guilty to murder and is sentenced to life plus 5 years.
Gary Hubble’s neighbor had friends visiting and Hubble had walked over and taken pictures of the neighbor’s friends and their license plates, then left.
A short time later, one of the guests, Mike Hansen, left the neighbor’s get-together on his motorcycle and the neighbor heard gunshots.
Hubble was on his porch with a rifle and shot Hansen as he drove by on the road, about 60 feet away.
Hubble and his mother (who handed him the gun) said Hansen had stopped in front of their house and was a threat to them.
Investigators say that was not supported by the evidence, there was no threat and the victim wasn’t armed and was riding when shot.
Charges were initially filed against Hubble’s mother, but, later dropped.
Hubble wasn’t allowed to be around guns since he was a convicted felon at the time.
