A 14-year-old boy was shot while riding in a car in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on Thursday evening.
According to Chicago police, the teen was riding in the vehicle around 6 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Madison Street when gunfire erupted and struck him in the ankle.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was listed in stable condition.
As Area Four detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
