On Wednesday evening in Englewood, a woman was shot in the neck while stopped at a red light.
Around 9:20 p.m., the victim, 43, was in the 6300 block of South Wentworth Avenue when a man stepped out of a black Ford sedan and opened fire, according to Chicago police.
With gunshot wounds to the neck and face, the victim was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is being held in custody. Detectives from Area One are looking into it.
