NYPD released shocking surveillance footage Monday of a brutal robbery in the Bronx in which two attackers punched and kicked the victim before robbing him.
Police are working to solve three troubling crimes, each in a different NYC borough, with a dangerous and violent end to July, with shootings and crime rising across the city by 2021.
On Saturday, a Honduran immigrant, 25, was found shot to death in Queens while wearing women’s clothing.
Then, on Monday, a gunman opened fire in Brooklyn’s upscale Boerum Hill neighborhood, punching a man in the leg and leaving witnesses running for their lives.
Two days later, the NYPD released surveillance footage from earlier this month of a brutal robbery in the Bronx, in which two attackers punched and kicked the victim before stealing his phone and wallet.
The trio of crimes – no one had yet been arrested as of Thursday – are the latest of increased shootings, robberies and assaults across the city.
New York City has so far seen a 12.2 percent increase in robberies in 2021 compared to last year, with 275 robberies in the first eight months of the year alone.
In 2020, there were a total of 245 cases.
