A judge in Valencia kicked the involuntary manslaughter charges to the curb citing insufficient evidence.
At a home in Valencia in July 2019, a fashion photographer named Jose Abad voluntarily engaged in the “toad venom ritual” that would cause users to hallucinate.
But a medical examiner discovered that Abad took part after he had “previously taken cocaine.” The mixture of the venom and cocaine was what killed Abad, it was ruled.
Vidal, 49, has starred in 1,500 sexxxtravaganzas, including Nacho’s MILF Mayhem, Nacho’s Street Legal and Nacho’s Threesomes. At the time of Abad’s death, Vidal was accused of using Colorado River toad venom. The venom comes from a rare toad found in northern Mexico and is frequently used as a psychedelic drug.
Spanish cops alleged that Vidal gave the drug to Abad to help cure his cocaine addiction.
Vidal — real name Ignacio Jorda Gonzalez — had faced a one to four-year prison sentence. And while the charges have been shelved by the judge, the ruling can be appealed.
He was originally arrested in 2019 and was charged with reckless homicide.
The dismissal of charges comes on the heels of the March debut of the new Starz series, Nacho, about the porn star’s life and his journey through the world of adult cinema.
The show’s producers told El Colombiano that they quickly realized after doing research on the protagonist, that Vidal was a “very intelligent man who loves life, who constantly challenges himself, who needs adrenaline every morning to feel alive and who is not afraid of death.”
