RawNews1st – Catawba County where the FBI and the Gaston County Bomb Squad are assisting Hickory police tonight after they say a suspicious device was found at a local church.
Police blocked off the entrances to the Mighty Dollar shopping center where the Market Place Church is located along Highway 127 South.
The bomb squad from Gastonia used a robot to search a vehicle parked in front of the church. Police say earlier someone had dropped off a suspicious device at the church.
Eyewitnesses say the church had about 30-people inside who were told to leave. So far authorities say they have not made any arrest in this case.
