Marc Jacobs has revealed that he has had a facelift as he proudly shared a photo of bandages wrapped around his head after surgery.
The designer, who turned 58 in April, shared the news on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday, posting a selfie he took at his doctor’s office the day before.
“Yesterday,” Jacobs captioned the image, adding the hashtags: “#f*ckgravity,” “#livelovelift,” and “#DrJacono” — a reference to famed plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacobo.

The image shows layers of white gauze wrapped around his head and drainage sacs filled with blood and fluid on each side of his ears. He wears a face mask, leaving only his eyebrows and eyes visible to the camera.
Jacobs never explicitly stated what type of elevator he had, but Dr. Jacono specializes in facial plastic surgery and is known for his mini facelifts.
The New York-based surgeon previously worked his magic on Botched doctor Paul Nassif and Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan, who both had him perform their facelifts.
Nassif’s “deep plane facelift” cost a whopping $50,000, while Morgan’s face and neck lift cost $75,000.
It’s unclear how much Jacobs paid for his surgery, but he probably spent about $50,000 as Dr. Jacono prefers the deep plane method.

“The deep plane facelift costs $50,000 — it’s more expensive than the average facelift, but there’s value in it because you look youthful and natural,” Dr. jacono. Bravo in 2019. ‘Moreover, it lasts longer than a traditional SMAS facelift.
“I’ve been trained to do a more traditional facelift, almost all surgeons do, but it doesn’t take that long,” he explains. ‘A deep plane facelift should take 12-15 years and an SMAS facelift is on average half as long. In my experience, when I did SMAS facelifts, they looked droopy at a faster rate.”
Jacobs, who has been plagued by plastic surgery rumors for years, was candid about his decision to go under the knife when he shared his latest post with his 1.6 million followers.
He received a lot of love from the fashion community, including younger actress Debi Mazar, who starred in his label’s fall 2015 campaign.
‘Congrats!’ she wrote, adding three clapping hands.

He went from 21 percent to 5 percent body fat by following the advice of a nutritionist, who told him to cut out caffeine, sugar, white flour and dairy products and exercise every day.
Rarely set foot in a gym, the designer scrubbed himself clean, started wearing a buzz cut and grew out his stubble, marking the beginning of his transformation into what he looks like today.
Jacobs has been talking about getting plastic surgery for years, telling GQ in 2008 that he was open to it.
‘I’m looking at Tom’ [Ford] and he looks great. Whatever he does, it works for him,’ he said. “And I don’t know if he’s doing anything, but I’m not against it. I want more of what I feel good about.’
He added that he had already gone under the knife to thicken the bridge of his nose after bumping into a glass door.
