Authorities said Spencer Gilbert shot 20-year-old Ja’Den Moblin over the weekend at the house party near Godley.
The two allegedly got into a fight and Moblin was shot in the head.
Moblin was taken to a hospital and placed on life support just long enough to be an organ donor, his mother told FOX 4.
Genell Provins said she will never forget the call she got in the middle of the night about her son being shot. She found a slight sense of peace Tuesday after visiting a funeral home.
“I had to come to terms today to know that truly I will never ever touch, feel or hear his voice,” she said. “My son had the best hugs.
I will never feel that again. I think that is so selfish. You took his life from that.
