A woman was taken to the hospital after being shot in the Chatham neighborhood early Tuesday.
The 35-year-old woman was a passenger in a vehicle in the 8600 block of South Lafayette Avenue around 2 a.m. when someone in a gray Ford SUV began shooting, according to police.
She was hit in the knee and taken by paramedics to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, according to police.
As Area Two detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
