Man Sentenced To Life For Murder Of Wife & Attempted Murder Of Wife’s Daughter
Sheron Lewis is the man who killed his wife and severely injured one of her daughters in Iowa in 2022.
Now convicted of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, he went before Judge Mike Canaday for sentencing. He’s described by the judge as having no remorse.
The state called the murder of Kenesha Spencer and the attempted murder of her daughter, Kendria Peghee, exceptionally brutal, disturbing, violent, and cruel.
Lewis shot his wife 14 times, and he nearly killed her daughter Kendria all in front of three small children.
“He brutally murdered my mom in front of me and my sisters. He traumatized not only me but my sisters,” Peghee said.
Lewis is sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder, plus fifty years for attempted murder and fifteen years for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
The 15 years are to run concurrently with life in prison.
Survivor Peghee said it’s good to know he can’t hurt anyone else.
