EU pledges “1 million rounds” of 155mm ammunition over the next year.
This far exceeds their production capabilities meaning they are wiping out strategic stockpiles.
This is more than the US can produce per year, at the moment.
And the US won’t be able to produce this much ammunition for another 2-3 years if, and only if, production is significantly expanded.
Combined, this still falls far short of what Ukraine needs daily, which itself falls far short of what Russian forces have been firing day to day.
