Two Chicago police officers were injured in a car accident on the city’s South Side.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Monday in the 3800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, according to police.
The squad car was traveling southbound on Cottage Grove when a stolen Kia collided with it.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, two officers were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and are in stable condition. Police also stated that their injuries were not life-threatening.
The three suspects inside the Kia attempted to flee the scene but were apprehended.
