Two men have been arrested and charged on firearms and drugs charges after a shooting last week in Green Township.
According to court records, Shawn Guilford, 20, and Hubert Whitehead, 20, were involved in the shooting of a man in his knee in the 4400 block of Harding Avenue.
Documents allege that Gilford admitted to law enforcement that he fired a 9mm handgun at the victim before fleeing the scene.
Court records say Whitehead was with Guilford during the shooting and fled the scene with him, throwing the gun that was used out of the vehicle into a trash can in the area of Harding Avenue and Robb Avenue.
Officials say Guilford also pointed a gun – a 380 handgun – at the victim and shot him twice.
After consenting to a search of Guilford’s home, officials found approximately 2,500 grams of marijuana in his bedroom, along with $14,000 in cash.
Guilford has been charged with felonious assault and trafficking in drugs.
