Dr. Shelley Y. Hawkins was hired to chair the Department of Nursing on June 1, 2022, according to Bradley’s website. Her bio says she has over 35 years of experience in higher education at both public and private universities.
Each count is listed as an allegation of theft, valued at less than $500.
A spokesperson for the university tells 25 News, they are aware of the allegations and would not comment further.
Records show Hawkins posted a $1,000 bond, Tuesday, to get out of the Peoria County Jail.
No formal charges have been filed against Hawkins in the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office according to online records.
