Chicago police reported that Marlin Zúñiga, 20, and Alexis Vázquez, 21, are allegedly related to the murders that occurred on December 23 and 24, just before Christmas.
According to authorities, Zúñiga and Vázquez fatally shot a 17-year-old boy in the 4600 block of N. Lawndale Ave. in the Albany Park neighborhood in Chicago at 10:15 p.m. on December 23, 2022.
Police said Vazquez is also charged with the murder of a 40-year-old man on December 24, 2022 at approximately 12:56 a.m., in the 2500 block of N. Rutherford Ave in the Montclare neighborhood.
In response, Marlin Zúñiga and Alexis Vázquez were taken into custody on Friday, February 10 by members of the Area Homicide Squad in the 2500 block of N. Newcastle Ave.
They are scheduled to appear in bond court shortly.
