Two juveniles have been arrested in connection to a bomb threat made at an Old Louisville daycare this morning.
Both juveniles have been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, a Class D felony.
Wednesday morning, there was heavy police presence in the 200 block of East Jacob Street and authorities asked residents to avoid the area.
One of the owners told us it was a “racially motivated threat” that forced them to evacuate and call.
17 children at daycare center were evacuated as a precaution. Parents of students have been or will be contacted by their director, police said.
LMPD’s Bomb Squad and bomb-sniffing canines were on the scene.
Police had closed the I-65 ramp to Brook Street and Broadway during the investigation to check an area under the bypass, but nothing was found.
