(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Departments Homicide Unit identified a suspect, Anthony EVERS JR.
(White male, 34 years of age) of Fayetteville, NC involved in the shooting death of Markus McKnight (Black male, 35 years of age) that occurred on December 10, 2022 along the 300 block of Cude Street.
On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, EVERS JR. was taken into custody along the 200 block of Bobbie St by members of the Fayetteville Police Departments Violent Crime Apprehension Team.
Anthony EVERS JR. is being charged with First Degree Murder, Discharge Firearm Within Enclosure To Entice Fear, and Possession of Firearm By Felon.

He is currently being held at the Cumberland County Jail under no bond.
