RawNews1st – 16-yr-old Justyce Broadway-Williams a.k.a “CJ” has been identified as the teen shot & killed last night in north suburban (Des Plaines).
On Jan. 15, 2023, around 9:30pm, Des Plaines police and Cook County Sheriff responded to calls of shots fired on Perry & Minor.
When they arrived, they found 16yo Justyce laying in the street with multiple gsws to the body. DPFD & EMS were on scene giving medical attention to him when he was pronounced 0-1-1-0 (DOA).
Witnesses recall hearing several shots and a car spending off, and one male running thru 2 buildings.
This shooting happened just 1 block away from the Des Plaines Police Station. No suspect are in custody as DPPD & North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) are investigating this homicide.
There are several doorbell Cameras on the block that may have captured the shooting. Anyone with information are asked to contact Des Plaines Police Department (847)391-5400.
