According to MPD, one driver was pulling out of a gas station parking lot and collided with another car. An argument then began, when a third party arrived. The argument escalated and the third person to the scene was the one shot and killed, MPD added.
“Road rage incidents are on the rise, as you know. We’ve had several incidents over the past few months where people have decided to bring firearms into it…when they can’t resolve their issues peacefully,” said MPD Commander John Branch.
Police arrested a suspect, who they say was driving the red car on scene.
Branch said officers were made aware a subject had a gun and was still at the scene. An officer encountered that subject and ordered him to drop the weapon. The subject complied with the orders, leading to the arrest.
