Chicago police are looking for an arsonist who set two fires in Bridgeport on the same night.
On November 27, around 9:15 p.m., the suspect set fire to South Lituanicia near 33rd. About 45 minutes later, he started another fire on South Halsted near 28th.
According to police, the suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as white Hispanic or white, between the ages of 18 and 30, wearing a long black winter coat with fur around the hood. He was also dressed in a black pack.
Bridgeport residents were given the following advice by Chicago police:
Make your neighbors aware of the situation.
Report any suspicious people, vehicles, or activity in the area by dialing 911.
Please save video surveillance for investigating detectives if it is available.
If you see the suspect, call 9-1-1 and provide your location, direction of travel, and a description of the suspect.
In no way put yourself or those around you in danger.
