Christopher Keeley allegedly stayed with Carl and Vicki Mattson before the couple recently asked him to leave. A friend told authorities that Keeley had fought with the Mattsons over a barking dog.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Christopher Keeley, 27, who is a person of interest in the murders of Carl and Vicki Mattson, both 70, according to a statement by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
Both victims were “bludgeoned and stabbed” before their bodies were found in their Massachusetts home Tuesday evening with “obvious signs of trauma.”
An official cause and manner of death have yet to be determined.
District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Marshfield Police Chief Phillip A. Tavares said the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence, with Cruz calling it a “targeted attack” in a Wednesday press conference.
