A shooting erupted at a gathering in the city’s West Pullman district early Saturday morning, killing two men.
Around 12:15 a.m., the males were at a gathering of about 30 people in the 12700 block of South Halsted Street when an unknown man began firing bullets.
One man, 34, was wounded in the head and was airlifted to Christ Hospital in critical condition. He was later declared deceased.
A 36-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to the hospital in critical condition was also pronounced dead.
A 27-year-old male was shot in the back and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
Another person with a gunshot wound to the lower left leg self-transported to Roseland Community Hospital in good condition.
No one is in jail, and the event is being investigated by police.
