RawNews1st – Safaree Samuels isn’t impressed with Kanye West’s style evolution. The 40-year-old took to Twitter on Thursday to express his disappointment in Ye’s fashion choices. He began by claiming he’s “always been a Kanye fan,” but has felt uninspired by the way the Donda artist has “been dressing these last 2 years.”
Regardless of what you think of the multi-hyphenate, there’s no denying West has left an indelible mark on the fashion world. He’s been named one of entertainment’s best-dressed figures and developed relationships with revered heavy-hitters like Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designers Riccardo Tisci and Haider Ackermann, and, of course, the late Virgil Abloh.
Kanye’s also received hands-on experience in the business, having interned at fashion houses like Fendi, collaborated with brands like Nike and Adidas, and launched his wildly lucrative brand Yeezy.
Taste, of course, is an entirely subjective concept. Many social media users were still quick to call out Safaree for his criticism of Kanye’s most recent style. As pointed out by the Shade Room, singer Tank was among those who blasted Safaree’s tweet, suggesting he was in no position to question anyone’s fashion choices.
