RawNews1st/Tech – Shradh Paksha starts from the full moon of Bhadrapada month. Bathing, charity and Shradh rituals are of great importance on this day.
Lord Satyanarayan is worshiped on the day of Bhadrapada Purnima. Along with this, Uma-Maheshwar fast is also kept on this day. Pitru Paksha starts from this day in which the full moon date is also included.
Purnima Shradh:Â The Shradh of the people who died on Poornima is performed only on Bhadrapada Shukla Purnima or Ashwin Krishna Amavasya. It is also called Proshtapadi Poornima.
However, it is said that if a woman has died on the full moon date, her Shradh can also be performed on Ashtami, Dwadashi or Pitrumoksha Amavasya.
