RawNews1st – At about 9:43 a.m., DPS received a 911 call reporting a forgery and theft incident. Police were dispatched to meet with the callers.
The caller told police that they were working for the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games (NMPMG) committee and were reviewing the funds from the NMPMG bank account when they noticed that a pay out of $46,027.00, was made to Patricia B. Aldan.
Upon further review, it was found that Aldan was a temporary employee for the NMPMG and was originally given a check for $27.00, for mileage reimbursement.
The NMPMG committee members stated that the original check amount was changed from $27.00 to $46,027.00 with two (2) signatures of its committee members signed on the forged check without their knowledge.
On the same day, an arrest warrant was issued for Patricia Bermudes Aldan by the Honorable Judge Joseph N. Camacho.
Suspects wanted for Aggravated Kidnapping
Police searched for Aldan and were unsuccessful. On August 3, 2022, Police were able to confirm that Aldan had fled the island in the afternoon of August 2, 2022, on board Jeju Airlines with no written final destination.
