Murder Investigation renders identity of suspect
On Friday July 8, 2022, two deceased male victims were located in an abandoned lot at the 14000 block of Atlanta.
The LPD Crimes Against Persons Unit initiated an investigation and began to research the circumstances behind the death of the two unidentified victims.
Through the course of the investigation it was discovered the two victims were identified as Raymundo Nepumuceano Jimenez, age 29 and Edgar Nepumuceano Jimenez, age 22.
Both victims were brothers and Mexican Nationals from the state of Oaxaca.
Investigators were able to contact the family and notified them of the death of their loved ones. Investigators were also able to determine that both victims were shot and had been transported from a different location to the abandoned lot where they were discovered.
Through the course of the day investigators were able to identify vehicles that were used in the commission of the crime and also found a residence located at 2100 block of Culiacan in south Laredo.
Through the process of the investigation the identity of a primary suspect was made and revealed that Jainer Andrade-Lara, age 25, was directly involved in the murder of the victims.
After consulting with the Webb County District Attorney’s Office a warrant for 2 counts of Murder Felony-1 were approved for Andrade-Lara.
