Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) arrested one person following a shooting that occurred on June 11 just after 3 p.m. inside McDonald’s, located at 2800 South Monroe Street.
Following a swift and thorough investigation by TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit, it was determined multiple subjects engaged in a physical altercation inside the McDonald’s.
As the altercation escalated, two involved individuals pulled out handguns and began shooting at each other. The incident subsequently continued into the parking lot of the restaurant.
As an unarmed victim of the physical altercation attempted to disengage, the arrestee fired at him.
The victim, an adult male, was uninjured; however, the second shooter sustained serious injuries.
The subsequent investigation collected physical evidence and video footage from the business.
These efforts, along with witnesses who stepped up to assist, helped detectives identify suspects and develop probable cause for an arrest.
All involved individuals in this case have been identified, and more arrests are forthcoming.
This arrest is a testament to TPD’s tireless efforts and dedication to bring justice to the victim in this case.
