Officers from the Lake City Police Department were dispatched to SE Colburn Avenue to the report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim with gunshot wound to their upper body.
The victim was provided first aid and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.During the investigation, officers were able to locate a witness who was with the victim at the time of the shooting.
The witness could only advise of seeing headlights coming toward them and hearing gunshots.
Both the victim and witness began to run at which time blood was noticed on the victim. The witness assisted the victim and called 911.
At this time, there is no suspect information.
