Seattle Police Robbery detectives are asking for your help to identify three ‘armed and dangerous’ carjacking suspects.
Police say they stole three cars at gunpoint in South Seattle and First Hill on Wednesday.
At 12:05 A.M., the three suspects approached a man at the Safeway gas station near Rainier Ave. S. and S. Charlestown St., pointed guns at him and stole his minivan.
As the suspects drove away, they ripped the still-attached gas hose from the pump, striking the 70-year-old victim in the back of the head and knocking him to the ground.
Detectives believe the same suspects approached a man late Wednesday evening as he was getting out of his car at 13th Avenue South and South Judkins Street.
The suspects pointed guns at the victim and demanded the keys to his vehicle. The suspects stole the car but were apparently unable to drive a stick so they fled, leaving the running vehicle behind.
Just under an hour later, the suspects approached a man in a parking lot in the 600 block of 9th Avenue, pointed a handgun at him, and stole his phone, wallet, and SUV.
Police say all three suspects are white males in their late teens to early 20’s.
Suspect #1 was wearing a camouflage mask, a back puffy jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black tennis shoes, carrying a black backpack and armed with a pistol with a light mounted under the barrel.
Suspect #2 was not wearing a mask. He was dressed in a black track-style sweatsuit with writing on both sleeves and pant legs, a black hooded sweatshirt, white tennis shoes, carrying a black, green and tan backpack and armed with a pistol.
Suspect #3 was wearing a multi-colored camouflage mask, a green hooded jacket, gray pants, red tennis shoes and carrying a black backpack. He was armed with a pistol.
Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 if you can identify any of the suspects. You will remain anonymous.
