Chicago – 3 elderly people (so far) have been found dead inside of their senior living apartments in the Rodgers Park neighborhood of Chicago.
One of the elderly being my aunt Janice.
The temperature inside of her unit read 102 degrees at one point. The building management states that it is their policy not to turn on the air conditioning units until June 1st.
How does that make sense?
Chicago was 93 degrees PLUS the last 4 days in MAY. A/C must be based off temperature, not a specific date in time.
There were also multiple calls placed to the alderman complaining about the temperatures inside of their units days leading up to.
There are 120 units in the building and not everyone is accounted for as of yet.
Thank you to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Rodgers Park Alderman Maria Haddon, CPD & CFD, and the multiple news crews at the scene to report this unacceptable negligence.
