On Sunday, April 10th, 2022, at approximately 3:49 PM, personnel assigned to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Oakland Area were dispatched to a possible shooting in the area of I-580 and SR-13 in Oakland.
CHP personnel are currently on scene and have closed all westbound lanes of 580 to investigate.
Traffic is being diverted off to SR-13. No details regarding the original call have been confirmed at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
We urge anyone traveling through the area to seek alternate routes and avoid the area.
