A Claremore has pleads guilty in federal court to assaulting and strangling his girlfriend.
Federal prosecutors say on May 4th, 2021, Jessy Pearson and the woman got into an argument and Pearson grabbed her by the throat and strangled her and then, took away her phone when she tried to text a friend for help, then grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against a wall, when she tried to leave.
The woman was eventually able to get her phone and got help and Rogers County deputies made the arrest.
This case was prosecuted in federal court because the victim is Native
