A Rogers County woman pleaded guilty to child abuse and child neglect in federal court today.
Ashley Blizzard was accused of being high on meth when she ran over her 11 year old son, who was trying to keep Blizzard from driving with her toddler in the car.
Blizzard’s toddler was standing on a broken meth pipe and not restrained while Blizzard was driving.
The 11 year old boy’s arm was injured.
We updated the case last November and played part of a heartbreaking phone call where Blizzard called home from jail and told her 11 year old son, she didn’t really hit him and because of him, she was going to prison forever.
Rogers County prosecutors were afraid Blizzard was not going to be prosecuted due to the decision on tribal jurisdiction, but it ended up being picked by the federal courts.
She’ll be sentenced in June.
