No Sense in Further Talks With US – Russian Deputy FM
Washington’s position on expanding NATO is inflexible and “impenetrable,” Sergey Ryabkov said adding, “I see no reason for further meetings to discuss the same exact things.”
The diplomat flagged NATO’s expansion East as a sticking point for Moscow, in particular Ukraine joining the bloc.
Ryabkov said Kiev is hungry for ‘revenge’, and the govt might make “unthinkable” decisions that are then acted on.
Ryabkov concluded by saying that if the US will continue to ignore Russia’s demands, Moscow will turn to “different measures” in relation to the West.
Just a move by NATO and the US to be seen as talking?
