Here’s an update to a story we first told you about in April of this year, when a man was arrested with shooting and killing his father over a debt of $700 and some sneakers.
Esuan Scott has now pleaded guilty to murder, shooting with intent to kill, having a gun while on probation, robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Prosecutors say in addition to shooting his father, Scott also shot another man, who survived.
Scott was sentenced to life in prison.
11 months earlier, in March of 2020, Scott had been given a 2 year deferred sentence for having drugs and a gun during a felony.
