A 9-year-old boy was discovered with a gun in his backpack at a daycare in South Holland on Thursday afternoon.
According to Happy Days Daycare owner Regina Sethi, the child had the gun in their backpack at Greenwood Elementary School all day.
The student was picked up from school and delivered to daycare. According to Sethi, the gun fell out of the backpack.
According to the daycare, no one was injured or shot.
Fox 32 News has contacted the South Holland Police Department for additional information.
