RawNews1st – Police arrest a security guard today who worked at the Union 8th grade center, accused of sexting 7 different students who are boys.
The affidavit for Carlos Hopkins says the investigation started with an anonymous tip on January 23rd.
The affidavit says each victim told police, it started when Hopkins would follow them on Instagram or communicated with them on SnapChat.
It says the boys all say the conversations started normally, but, then, turned sexual.
It says, the boys say Hopkins asked them about their sex lives, asked them about their penis size and how they measured them and if they needed condoms.
It says he asked them for nude photos and even offered to pay them between 20 and 50 dollars for them.
He’s charged with 7 counts of using technology to engage in sexual communication with minors.
Union sent us a statement that says, “Carlos Hopkins is no longer an employee of Union Public Schools.
We are cooperating fully with the Tulsa Police Department and have turned over all information to them on this matter.
At Union, we take the safety of our students very seriously. “
He was also a reserve officer for Mounds Police and Chief Antonio Porter tells me, as soon as he was made aware of the investigation, he notified CLEET an told Hopkins, he would no longer be serving as a reserve officer there.
I’ll post his booking photo as soon as it’s available.
