Source – An illegal immigrant jihadist terrorist named Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, who was accused of targeting a Jewish man, Chicago Police Officers, and paramedics, during a shooting spree, has commited suicide in jail by hanging
Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi is accused of shooting the Jewish man on Oct. 26 while he was on his way to a synagogue to celebrate Shabbat. Prosecutors reportedly said at a court hearing for Abdallahi last week that he planned a route to a synagogue one block from the northern Chicago neighborhood where the Jewish man was shot from behind.
Abdallahi’s phone had the locations of two synagogues saved days before the shooting, the prosecutor reportedly noted. His search history also showed he looked up “Jewish Community center” and a gun store two weeks before the shooting, according to the prosecutors.
The Chicago Sun-Times added that McCord Rodgers said the phone contained more than 100 antisemitic images and videos.
“This was not anything but a planned attack … an attempted assassination of these people,” the newspaper quoted Assistant State’s Attorney Anne McCord Rodgers as saying.
Surveillance footage showed that Abdallahi ran away from the man after shooting him, according to the prosecutors. McCord Rodgers said he then walked back toward the victim and tried to fix his gun, which was apparently jammed, the newspaper said.
Abdallah allegedly left the scene again by driving a few blocks away before walking back to fire at police officers and paramedics responding to the location of the original shooting. He was shot while exchanging gunfire with officers, according to the prosecutors.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed following Abdallahi’s arrest that he is a citizen of Mauritania and encountered U.S. Border Patrol agents in San Ysidro, Calif. in March 2023, according to CNN. ICE reportedly lodged an immigration detainer days after the arrest.
Chicago Police Department Superintendent Larry Snelling told reporters the shooting “should be personal to everyone across the city.”
“We have a diverse city. We live in a very diverse city. And any time someone suffers violence, especially a shooting, we should be outraged no matter where it occurs in our neighborhoods and across our city,” he said.
