7-year-old hit and killed in autoped collision in East Tulsa
On April 16th, 2025, around 5:20 p.m., Officers responded to multiple calls about an auto-pedestrian collision on 21st Street just west of Memorial.
Through the investigation, Officers learned the 7-year-old male victim, along with several other children, were walking north, attempting to cross 21st.
Traffic in the eastbound inside lane saw the group of kids and stopped to allow them to cross.
Another driver behind the stopped traffic changed lanes to avoid the stopped traffic and hit the 7-year-old male.
The vehicle’s driver immediately stopped and cooperated with Officers on the scene.
First responders performed lifesaving measures on the victim on the scene, and paramedics took him to the hospital. Tragically, he died a short time later.
Traffic Officers will complete a full investigation into the collision.
