5 dead, 3 injured after shooting in Florence Kentucky

The shooter fled the residence by vehicle, was chased by police, then shot & killed himself

The 3 injured are in critical but stable condition.

When they got there arrival, officers said they found seven people suffering from gunshot wounds, four of which were pronounced dead on the scene.

The other three victims were transported to UC Hospital. Their conditions are currently listed as critical but stable.

Police said the suspect had fled the scene by motor vehicle by the time officers had arrived.

Officers said they quickly located the suspect fleeing near Farmview Drive and US 42 and attempted to pull him over, leading to a pursuit.

The pursuit ended on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike after the suspect vehicle drove off the road and into a ditch.

The Florence Police Department’s investigative and crime scene units responded to the scene to investigate.

Police said there is currently no ongoing threat to the public, saying the suspect acted alone.
