A 67-year-old man was discovered dead in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago on Monday night, prompting police to launch a murder investigation.
Police said the man got into a physical argument with another person in the 7100 block of South Cyril Avenue around 9 p.m.
According to officials, the man was found unresponsive with fatal cuts to his head and lower right leg and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect has been apprehended by police, and charges are pending.
Detectives in the area are still looking into the incident.
