RawNews1st – A Sallisaw man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for sexually abusing a girl from the time she was 8 until she was 13.
Federal prosecutors say 61 year old Jerry Rogers knew the victim and was prosecuted after she came forward at the age of 16.
Rogers was found guilty by a federal jury in April of 2022, of 5 counts total of aggravated sexual abuse and abusive sexual contact and sexual abuse.
He’ll remain in custody until he’s transported to a federal prison, where they don’t have parole.
