Dash Cam: Shots fired during high-speed pursuit in Dane County

A deputy with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Pleasant Springs, Wisconsin on August 31, 2020.

Michael D. Parks was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for emptying the clip of a gun, which was aided by a laser sight as he shot at deputies during a high-speed pursuit.

Parks was sentenced to more than 13 years in prison while the driver of the car, Amber Rose Virnig, is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to two felonies.
