RawNews1st – A 5-year-old child and a woman were killed in Pennsylvania, and other people were injured Monday night in a mass stabbing at a home in York County.
It happened on the first block of Firebox Court in Stewartstown around 7:30 p.m.
“Emergency responders entered the residence to find a total of four victims,” Pennsylvania State Police said in a statement.
Two of the victims, 5-year-old Rylee Reynolds and her mother, 34-year-old Christine Fousek, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were found in the home’s basement, according to court documents.
Two other people, 63-year-old Jacqueline Fousek and 28-year-old Joseph Fousek, were found upstairs. They each had wounds to their heads, necks and torsos and were taken to a local hospital, court documents state.
State police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Keith Kretzer. Court documents state that troopers found him outside the home with blood and cuts on his hands. He was taken into custody without incident.
Kretzer faces two counts of criminal homicide and two counts of criminal attempted homicide.
Police were still at the scene Tuesday morning.
A criminal complaint details what Kretzer told investigators during an interview.
Kretzer said he was making dinner in the basement while his girlfriend, Christine Fousek, and her daughter were in the room.
Police said Kretzer believed something took control of him and made him get a knife. That force made him stab Fousek and the girl, according to the complaint.
He told police he went upstairs and stabbed Jacqueline Fousek, then went into Joseph Fousek’s room and stabbed him.
Police said Kretzer told them he “snapped out of it” during a struggle with Joseph Fousek and ran out of the house.
The complaint alleges that Kretzer later stated, “I (vulgarity) up and went and killed people.”
Police said they also interviewed Joseph Fousek at a hospital.
He told investigators he was in his upstairs bedroom playing video games. He had headphones on but heard screaming.
Fousek said Kretzer barged through the door of the bedroom and began stabbing Fousek with a large knife, according to the complaint.
He said he was able to get the knife, and Kretzer ran from the room.
According to the criminal complaint, troopers found suspected marijuana and suspected psychedelic mushrooms in the home.
