Louisiana – The charges brought against four Louisiana State Police (LSP) troopers and one Union Parish deputy range from negligent homicide to malfeasance in office and obstruction of justice, according to a copy of the indictment provided to CNN by Union Parish District Attorney John Belton.
Police said Greene, 49, died after he resisted arrest and struggled with officers. His family has said state police initially told them Greene died in a car crash after a police chase.
Trooper Kory York was indicted on one count of negligent homicide and 10 counts of malfeasance in office. Union Parish Deputy Chris Harpin was indicted on three counts of malfeasance in office.
LSP Lt. John Clary was indicted on one count of malfeasance in office and one count of obstruction of justice. Former Trooper Dakota DeMoss was indicted on one count of obstruction of justice.
