A 48-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in north suburban Zion on Monday afternoon.
A motorcycle and a sedan were involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 29th Street and Lewis Avenue around 1:23 p.m., according to Zion police and fire officials.
Andre Turner, of Zion, was taken to the emergency room at Vista Medical Center Easter, where he died from his injuries, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Turner died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash, according to a preliminary autopsy, according to the medical examiner’s office.
The crash is still being investigated by Zion police and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.
